Desiree Cordero crowned Miss Universe Spain 2014

Desiree Cordero has been crowned Miss Universe 2014 at the finals pageant night of Miss Universe Spain 2014 held on October 28’ 2014 at the theatre Bodevil Madrid, by her predecessor the very beautiful Patricia Yurena Rodriguez, the Miss Universe Spain 2013 and the first runner-up at Miss Universe 2013. Desiree, who is 21 years of and stands tall at 178cm, defeated fourteen other beauties to clinch the coveted title. She will now represent Spain at Miss Universe 2014 pageant to be held in Doral, USA on January 25' 2015.

Miss International 2014 – Schedule of Events

One of the Big 4 beauty pageants; Miss International 2014 has officially set on fire from October 27’ 2014 in Grand Prince Hotel, Tokyo, Japan, with the orientation of 77 delegates from around the world who have already arrived for the grand event. This is the 54th edition of the Miss International beauty pageant. The reigning Miss International, Bea Rose Santiago from Philippines, briefed the delegates about the norms and itinerary of the events. Miss International 2014 pageant will be filled with fun, excitement and learning sessions for the beauties. The events have lots of culturally enriching activities which provides a platform to the contestants to showcase their talent and culture of their home country. The events also focus on the tradition of the host country, Japan with activities such as Japanese traditional tea ceremony, experience of Japanese traditional dance, Sushi lunch etc. The official presentation of Miss International 2014 pageant will be held on November 4’ 2014, the same day Miss International Japan 2015 will be crowned. The finals will take place on November 11’ 2014 at Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan. Miss International beauty pageant is aimed at promoting “Love Peace and Excitement to the World”. The Contestants of the pageant are expected to serve as "Ambassadors of Peace and Beauty", serving tenderness, generosity, friendship, beauty, intelligence and a great international sensibility.

Miss Guyana Universe 2014 Winner is Niketa Barker

At the finals gala night of Miss Guyana Universe 2014 pageant held on October 26’ 2014, Niketa Barker has been crowned Miss Guyana Universe 2014 by her predecessor Katherina Roshana, Miss Guyana Universe 2013. Niketa, defeated eight other contestants to clinch the coveted crown. She was also awarded with Miss Intelligence and Miss best Smile title. Niketa earlier competed in Miss Guyana Universe 2012 where she finished as the first runner-up. She will now represent Guyana at Miss Universe 2014 pageant to be held in Doral, USA on January 25' 2015. Soyini Fraser finished as first runner-up and Laketa McPhoy was the second runner-up. Special awards given at the event were: Cardella Hamilton and Rochelle Cheddie - Miss Congeniality; and Jyoti Hardat - Best Body Beautiful.

Reina Hispanoamericana 2014 Special Award Winners

Reina Hispanoamericana 2014 pageant organized a special awards contest on October 24’ 2014 at the pool of Buganvillas Hotel in Santa Cruz, which saw twenty-four (24) gorgeous contestants of Reina Hispanoamericana 2014 being awarded in different categories. The contestants were awarded on the basis of their figure, elegance, smile, hair etc. Given below are the various title categories and their respective winners: Andrea Lira (Venezuela) - Miss Silueta (Best Figure). Wendolly Esparza Delgadillo is crowned Nuestra Belleza México 2014

Wendolly Esparza Delgadillo from Aguascalientes has been crowned Nuestra Belleza México 2014 (Miss Universe Mexico 2014) by her predecessor Josselyn Garciglia, Nuestra Belleza México 2013 who is Mexican representative at upcoming Miss Universe 2014 pageant at the finals night of Nuestra Belleza México 2014 pageant held on October 25’ 2014 in Cuernavaca, Morelos. Wendolly, who is 22 years of age and stands tall at 173cm, defeated thirty one (31) other contestants to clinch the coveted crown. She will now represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2015 pageant. The runners-up at the pageant were: 1st runner-up: Karina Martín Jiménez (Jalisco). 2nd runner-up: Alessa Bravo Agredaño (Jalisco). 3rd runner-up: Lorena Marlene Sevilla Mesina (Colima). 4th runner-up: Sandra Ahumada Treviño (Tamaulipas). Miss Uganda 2014 Winner is Leah Kalanguka

At the finals pageant night of Miss Uganda 2014 pageant held on October 25’ 2014 at the Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala, Leah Kalanguka from Lganga has been crowned as Miss Uganda 2014 by her predecessor Stellah Nantumbwe, Miss Uganda 2013. Leah, 23 years of age, defeated nineteen other contestants to clinch the coveted title. She will now represent Uganda at Miss World 2014 pageant to be held in London, England on December 14' 2014. The theme of the pageant was "Making and promoting agriculture entrepreneurship attractive to young women in Uganda". The pageant's main focus was mainly based on agriculture. The agricultural theme to the pageant gave it a representation of the African values according to the organizers.

Idah Nguma crowned Miss World Kenya 2014

Idah Nguma representing Machakos has been crowned Miss World Kenya 2014 at the conclusion of the finals of the pageant held on October 25' 2014 at KICC Courtyard, Nairobi. Yamelin Ramírez to represent Mexico at Miss World 2015

Yamelin Ramírez Cota, the reigning Nuestra Belleza Sonora, has been crowned Nuestra Belleza Mundo Mexico 2014 (Miss World Mexico 2014) at the pre-finals event of Nuestra Belleza México 2014 pageant held on October 23' 2014. She succeeds Daniela Alvarez, who is Mexican representative for Miss World 2014 pageant. Alessa Bravo was adjudged the first runner-up at the event. Yamelin will now represent Mexico in Miss World 2015 pageant next year. Yamelin is 21 years of age and stands tall at 175 cm. She represented the province of Sonora at the pageant. Having been crowned Nuestra Belleza Mundo Mexico 2014, she will now not compete at the finals of the pageant to be held on October 25' 2014.

Bianca Fanu, a medical student, crowned Miss World Romania 2014

Bianca Fanu, from Timisoara was crowned the winner of the national pageant Miss World Romania 2014 held during the weekend, and will now be official representative of Romania at Miss World 2014 pageant to be held in London on December 14' 2014, where she will compete with beauties from more than 120 countries hoping to win the first ever Miss World title for Romania. Runners-up of Miss World Romania 2014 were - Ionella Postelnicu, Alexandra Predus and Adelina Lupchian. Miss Earth India 2014 is Alankrita Sahai

Miss Diva 2014 first runner-up Alankrita Sahai will be India's representative at Miss Earth 2014 pageant, scheduled to be held in Manila, Philippines on November 29' 2014. Alankrita, 20 years of age, hails from the national capital of Delhi and loves to dance, read and travel. Miss Diva 2014 pageant was won by Noyonita Lodh, who will represent India at Miss Universe 2015 to be held on January 25' 2015 in Florida, USA. Zaira Bas, Miss Madrid, has been crowned Miss Earth Spain 2014 (Miss España Tierra 2014) at the conclusion of the finals of the pageant held on October 18' 2014. During the preliminary events for Miss Earth Spain 2014 (Miss España Tierra 2014) held on October 16 & 17' 2014, the winners of special awards have been announced from amongst the 20 beautiful contestants competing for the titles. At the conclusion of the finals of Miss Diva Universe 2014 pageant, the Bangalore-girl Noyonita Lodh has been crowned Miss Diva Universe 2014. Miss Earth Water 2013 Punika Kulsoontornrut dethroned

Punika Kulsoontornrut of Thailand has been dethroned from her title of Miss Earth Water 2013, a title which she was awarded at Miss Earth 2013 pageant held last year in Philippines. She ceases with immediate effect to be the reigning Miss Earth Water after being dethroned by Philippines-based organizers of the pageant, Carousel Productions, Inc., for violating her contract as a titleholder. Her dethronement was on the ground of her joining another pageant, Miss International, during her one-year reign as Miss Earth Water 2013, which was in violation of her standing contract as Miss Earth Water 2013. As per the organizers, she was informed of the same and was asked to withdraw from Miss International pageant, which she failed to do by the deadline stipulated by the organizers resulting in her dethronement. Punika is expected to compete at Miss International 2014 pageant to be held on November 11' 2014 in Tokyo, Japan.

Miss Tanzania 2014 Winner is Siti Mtemvu

Siti Abass Zuberi Mtemvu has been crowned Miss Tanzania 2014 at the conclusion of the finals night of the Miss Tanzania 2014 pageant held on October 11' 2014 at Mlimani City Hall in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.
