Achelle Joy Medrano crowned winner of Jewel of the Philippines 2017

At the conclusion of the grand finale of Jewel of the Philippines held at UP GT Toyota Auditorium, Achelle Joy Medrano was crowned as the winner. At the same event, Sarah Jireh Asido was crowned as Jewel of the Philippines United Continents 2017; Kirsten Einna Lister from was crowned as Jewel of the Philippines Emerald Queen 2017 (Arts Ambassadress) and was titled Miss Global International Philippines; Karen Grace Atienza was crowned as Jewel of the Philippines Sapphire Queen 2017 (Education Ambassadress) and was titled Miss Tourism World Philippines; and Mary Rose Cajayon from was crowned as Jewel of the Philippines Ruby Queen 2017 (Culture Ambassadress) and was titled Miss Global Charity Queen Philippines.

Lauren Howe crowned Miss Universe Canada 2017

Lauren Howe was crowned Miss Universe Canada 2017. Lauren also won the Miss Photogenic award. Het court included Marta Magdalena Stepien (first runner-up), Meral Özerdinç (second runner-up), Diana Lai (third runner-up) and Kathryn Kohut (fourth runner-up). Remaining Top 10 finalists were Chanelle Preradovich, Justine Felizarta, Natasha Smith, Sasha Lombardi, and Serafina Oliverio.

Jessia Islam Replaces Jannatul Nayeem Avril as Miss World Bangladesh 2017

Ana Carolina Ugarte appointed Miss World Venezuela 2017

Ana Carolina Ugarte (full name Ana Carolina Ugarte Pelayo Campos) will be Venezuela's representative in the 67th edition of the Miss World pageant to be held on November 18 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. While her coronation as Miss Venezuela World 2017 is scheduled for mid-October, she has been appointed as such by Miss Venezuela organization.
