Will Vietnam’s Nguyễn Thị Thúy An win the Best In National Costume award?

Miss Intercontinental 2019 is all set to host its 48th edition of Miss Intercontinental as the coronation night will be held on 20th December 2019 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. Delegates from around 80 countries and autonomous territories will compete for the title. Miss Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman of Philippines will crown her successor by the end of the event.

Filipina Emma Mary Tiglao’s National Costume ‘Buklod’ revealed for Miss Intercontinental 2019

Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2019 Emma Tiglao showcased her national costume online. She aims to celebrate the diversity of Filipino belifes through her national costume for the Miss Intercontinental pageant. The entire look which consisted of terno made of solihiya rattan weaves, accentuated by metalwork and colourful sarimanok headpiece was referred as “Buklod” which means bond of union.

Black women rule five Major Beauty Pageants in 2019

As soon as Miss World Jamaica 2019 Toni- Ann Singh was announced Miss World 2019, she joined the impressive roster of black women who hold some of the world’s most prestigious pageant titles; Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi, Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst, Miss Teen USA 2019 Kaliegh Garris and Miss America 2019 Nia Franklin. It is first time that black women have held all these titles at once.
