Answer: This pageant is very important because it is an initiative to protect and save the earth. Question: You’ve been doing a lot of great things in the Philippines in the past month and I was wondering which one do you think should be the one that should be done first by all of us and why? Answer: That’s really a hard question because every single activity that Miss Earth Organization has us girls doing had just been amazing. My favorite has been the school tours that we’ve gone to. I personally love little kids, I tend to gravitate to them and just if we are able to put a smile on their face, that makes us happy and put a smiles to our faces too. Question: If you win tonight’s crown, what will you do to help reverse the effects of global warming? Answer: Global warming has been known for being a very long, overdue issue. That is why, if I am crowned tonight, I will use my title to inspire others, to help our environment, and we start with the kids…because the kids are the people of tomorrow. And if we teach them, they will also help the community. And that's what I will do if I am crowned Miss Earth tonight. Country - Russia; Finalist - Anastasia Trusova. Question: So how has this pageant changed the way you look at the environment after you’ve joined? Answer: After this pageant, I will promote ecotourism all over the world. I will promote environmental advocacy. I want to create my own organization which will conducted with different world organizations. We will care our nature, our environment and help our world. She is 22 years of age years of age, 176cm tall, and has vital statistics of 86-58-89. Maira has bagged the second highest number of medals, having won four silver medals and one bronze medal. Maira was awarded with the silver medals in Evening Gown competition, Cocktail Wear competition, National Costume competition and Darling of the Press, and bronze medal in Resort Wear competition. She was also rewarded with Miss Fashion Show Beach Wear, Miss Glutamax and Miss Pontefino titles during the sponsor awards. At the same event Jamie Herrell was crowned Miss Earth 2014. At the finals coronation of Miss Earth 2014 pageant held on November 29’ 2014 at the UP Theater in Manila, Philippines, the reigning Miss Earth Philippines Jamie Herrell has been crowned Miss Earth 2014 by her predecessor Alyz Henrich, the Miss Earth 2013. Jamie is 20 years of age, 170cm tall, and has vital statistics of 81-64-71. Jamie has an inspiring beauty pageant history having competed in many beauty pageants. She got her first title of Festival Queen 2013 when she participated in Sinulog 2013 Grand Mardigras. She then participated in the Aliwan Festival. Aliwan Festival is a widely popular event which showcases different festivals in the country and the contestants compete with each other in terms of both beauty and cultural representation. Jamie was crowned Reyna ng Aliwan 2013 in the event. With two crowns on her head, this confident beauty than competed in Miss Resorts World 2013 where she could not win any awards or title. But this was not the end to her story; Jamie came up with bright colours of success when she won Miss Earth Philippines 2014 crown. At the same event she also won the Best in Swimsuit and Best in Cultural Attire special awards. Finally, the moment the Miss Earth pageant fans have been waiting for has arrived. The crowning of the Miss Earth 2014 and other elemental winners is only a few hours away. Beauties from across the globe are all set to take the stage confident of winning the title for their country. It all began less than three weeks back with the press presentation held on November 10th with Jamie Herrell of Philippines winning the gold medal for 'Darling of the Press'. Thereafter, the contestants commenced probably the most memorable journeys of their lives as they participated in several tours, shows, seminars, and contests, and travelled to the most beautiful places in the Philippines. The lovely contestants had a hectic (yet fun-filled) schedule as they participated in school tours, mall tours, environmental seminars, fashion show, sports fest, eco-tours, make-up lessons, charity day and several other organized visits. And then there were competitions - cocktail wear, resort wear, swimsuit, evening gown, talent, best teacher - which were held in different locations, with the 85 contestants divided into three groups and for each contest three medal winners (gold, silver & bronze) were selected from each group. Let's have a look at the gold medal winners from each group for each contest Cocktail Wear - Paraguay, Philippines & Thailand. Resort Wear - Paraguay, Spain & USA. Swimwear - Colombia, Spain & Thailand. Evening Gown - Brazil, India & Russia. Talent Competition - Pakistan, Slovenia & US Virgin Islands. Best Teacher - Brazil, Nigeria & US Virgin Islands. Also, each group of the Miss Earth 2014 took a bit of time off from their rigid (but fun) rehearsals to cast their votes for the special title of Miss Friendship. England, Switzerland & Zimbabwe won gold medals in their respective groups. The event also saw the awarding of the ten Best Eco Videos by the Miss Earth Foundation, and the awarded videos were those of Austria, Bolivia, Botswana, Guatemala, India, Nepal, Puerto Rico, Russia, Sri Lanka & Thailand. Miss Photogenic title was also awarded basis online voting with France emerging as the winner. The girls got together again on November 25 for the National Costume presentation at Green Sun Hotel. This year, the presentation was divided into four groups - Americas, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Europe, with Panama, South Africa, Indonesia and England winning the gold medal for Best National Costume in their respective groups. The finals of the 14th edition of Miss Earth 2014, will be held tomorrow at the University of the Philippines Theater in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines. And this year, the finals of Miss Earth 2014 on November 29th will be hosted by Justin Bratton and Joey Mead King. Joey Mead King is a television personality, fashion lifestyle host, runway coach and is the model mentor and co-judge on popular reality show, Asia's next top model. She has done numerous television commercials, ad campaigns & magazine covers in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia & Philippines. Joey was the first Filipina model to lead in a Head & Shoulders shampoo commercial, and a Lexus car commercial both aired in the United States and Canada. Her male co-host for the evening will be Justin Bratton. He is an established TV host, actor, model, and film-maker based in the Asia- Pacific Region, and is best known as the Presenter of the award-winning show titled “The Passport” where he travelled across Asia using only beer as his currency. And given his comic skills, he sure will be able to bring a smile on the faces of the beauties competing for the title on an otherwise nervous evening for them. Miss Diva 2014 first runner-up Alankrita Sahai will be India's representative at Miss Earth 2014 pageant, scheduled to be held in Manila, Philippines on November 29' 2014. Alankrita, 20 years of age, hails from the national capital of Delhi and loves to dance, read and travel. Miss Diva 2014 pageant was won by Noyonita Lodh, who will represent India at Miss Universe 2015 to be held on January 25' 2015 in Florida, USA. Zaira Bas, Miss Madrid, has been crowned Miss Earth Spain 2014 (Miss España Tierra 2014) at the conclusion of the finals of the pageant held on October 18' 2014. Punika Kulsoontornrut of Thailand has been dethroned from her title of Miss Earth Water 2013, a title which she was awarded at Miss Earth 2013 pageant held last year in Philippines. She ceases with immediate effect to be the reigning Miss Earth Water after being dethroned by Philippines-based organizers of the pageant, Carousel Productions, Inc., for violating her contract as a titleholder. Her dethronement was on the ground of her joining another pageant, Miss International, during her one-year reign as Miss Earth Water 2013, which was in violation of her standing contract as Miss Earth Water 2013. As per the organizers, she was informed of the same and was asked to withdraw from Miss International pageant, which she failed to do by the deadline stipulated by the organizers resulting in her dethronement. Punika is expected to compete at Miss International 2014 pageant to be held on November 11' 2014 in Tokyo, Japan.

She is to make a comeback for Kosovo at Miss Universe after the country withdrew in 2013 as it did not have diplomatic relations with the host country Russia. Kaltrina Neziri finished as first runner-up and was crowned Miss Earth Kosovo 2014 by her predecessor Donika Emini, Miss Earth Kosovo 2013. She will now represent Kosovo at Miss Earth 2014 pageant to be held in Manila, Philippines on November 29' 2014.

Aisha Isabella Hansen, 19-year old beauty from Lyngby, was crowned Miss Earth Denmark 2014 at the finals of the Miss World 2014 pageant held in Copenhagen, Denmark on October 4' 2014. Aisha stands tall at 180 cm. She will now represent Denmark at Miss Earth 2014 pageant to be held in Philippines on November 29' 2014. Denmark won the inaugural Miss Earth title in 2001, when Catharina Svensson was crowned Miss Earth 2001. At the final splendid night of Miss Egypt 2014 pageant held on September 26’ 2014 at Sofitel Hotel - Cairo, Nancy Magdy has been crowned Miss Earth Egypt 2014. Nancy, 19 years of age, competed with seventeen other finalists to clinch the coveted crown. She will now represent Egypt at the Miss Earth 2014 pageant. The event this year had some special guests attending including Stefania Fernandez from Venezuela, Miss Universe 2009; Tereza Fajksová from Czech Republic, Miss Earth 2012; Ekaterina Plekhova from Russia, Miss Intercontinental 2013; Katia Wagner, Miss Austria Earth 2013; and Wahiba Arres, Miss Tunisia 2014. Other winners at Miss Egypt 2014 were - Lara Debbane who was crowned Miss Universe Egypt 2014 and Amina Ashraf who was crowned Miss World Egypt 2014. Heba Hesham was the first runner-up and Shaymaa Mohamed was the second runner-up, and they are expected to represent Egypt at Miss International 2014 and Miss Intercontinental 2014 respectively.
