The Queen of Gold

Golden silk, Swarovski arabesques and a cape that becomes the train — the gown Joheirry Mola wore for the World Designer Award in Nha Trang.

Joheirry Mola walked the World Designer Award in Nha Trang in a gown Giannina Azar called The Queen of Gold. It is cut from golden silk, hand-embroidered with Swarovski crystals, and finished with gold-leaf arabesques. A cape leaves the shoulder and pools into the train.

The award sat in the week before the Miss World final. Mola, Miss World Dominican Republic, took the World Designer Award and Top Model for the Americas and the Caribbean. On 5 September 2026 she was crowned Miss World in the same city.

The silhouette is a column: a deep neckline, the embroidery massed down one side of the bodice, and the cape doing the work of a train. Nothing on it is printed. The shine is the silk, the stones, and the leaf.
