Rolene Strauss, who was crowned Miss South Africa 2014 in the pageant held on March 30’2014 at the Sun City Super Bowl, South Africa has all the potential to win Miss World 2014. Miss World Organization has announced the hosts for the finals night of Miss World 2014 pageant scheduled to be held on December 14' 2014 in London, England. The 64th edition of the pageant will be hosted by Megan Young together with Tim Vincent and Frankie Cena. Tim Vincent is a Welsh actor and famous television presenter well known for presenting mainstream shows Access Hollywood and Phenomenon. Tim is one of Hollywood’s most in demand television hosts and personalities, known for his sharp wit, humor and ability to entertain a live crowd. Tim will be assuming hosting duties for the Miss World contest for the third time, having earlier been the host for Miss World 2005 and Miss World 2006. Frankie Cena is a presenter, singer, and an international speech coach living in Vancouver, Canada. He was first introduced to the Miss World Organization as a contestant in the 2013 series of Mister World where he claimed a top ten finish overall and was awarded Mister World Talent for his rendition of Down by Jay Sean. Frankie was then hired to present at Mister World 2014 with the reigning Miss World, Megan Young, in Torbay, England. After a brilliant vocal recital at the competition and stellar performance as a presenter, Frankie has now been given the duties to be a host for Miss World 2014 back in England. At the ongoing 64th edition of Miss World beauty pageant in London, another event was organized on November 28’ 2014, at Grosvenor Hotel in London in which 10 finalists were announced for Beauty with a Purpose, one of whom will become the winner of Beauty with a Purpose challenge event.“Beauty with a purpose” is considered as the heart of Miss World beauty pageant. It was created by Julia Morley in 1972. Through this event hundreds of millions of pounds are raised and donated to the international organizations in aid of the sick, needy, poor and disadvantaged children.This year over 20 thousand pounds were raised. In addition to that , Miss World 1953 Denise Perrier of France donated the trophy she won when she was elected as Miss World, 61 years ago. It was sold for 30 thousand pounds.This year also the girls put on their finest gowns for the classic event of Miss World Charity Gala and Auction. Different projects were taken up by the contestants like providing poor women with sexual education, repairing cleft lips, making people aware of blood and organ donations etc. Few of the eye catching projects included one from Serbia where the contestant trained a disabled volleyball team in her home country which indeed helped in transforming the team. At the ongoing preliminary events of Miss World 2014 pageant, Koyal Rana of India bagged the World Fashion Designer Award held on November 29’ 2014, along with two other events which were selection of Top 20 models and Beach Beauty. The runner up being Ellie Mckeating of Scotland and second runner up being Dhio Moreno Romero of Dominican Republic. Miss World India Koyal Rana wore the gown designed by Falguni and Shane Peacock. First runner-up Miss Scotland Ellie Mckeating wore the gown designed by Eleganza Sposa and Siobhan Mackenzie and the second runner up Miss Dominican Republic Dhio Moreno was wearing Keyther Esteuez’s designed gown. Maria Jose Alvarado, the reigning Miss World Honduras, has been found murdered just few days before she was supposed to fly off to London to compete in Miss World 2014 pageant in London. She and her sister Sofia Trinidad disappeared last week on Thursday after they were seen leaving a local party and getting into a vehicle without a license plate. Both have now been found dead days after going missing in Santa Barbara. Police said they found the bodies of Maria and her sister Sofia on a river bank, after mounting an exhaustive search. Police have arrested a few suspects, and the investigation is ongoing in this kidnapping and murder case. Honduras is the world's most violent country with a murder rate above 90 people per 100,000, about double the rate of its closest peers Venezuela, Belize and El Salvador. The very beautiful and full of life Maria was just 19 years of age. She was crowned Señorita Honduras 2014 at the finals of the national pageant held on April 26' 2014. May her soul rest in peace!
