With 5 days to go for Miss International 2014 finale, we present Angelopedia’s Top 15 Favourites whom we think deserve to win the 54th edition of Miss International, the finals whereof will be held on November 11’ 2014 at Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan. The pageant fans have kept a keen eye on the beauties and are eager to know who will have the greatest chance of bringing home the coveted title. The gorgeous ladies are giving their best in the race to be the Miss International 2014. The last and fifteenth entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Israel Shani Hazan. Shani is 22 years of age, and stands tall at 182cm. Shani was crowned Miss Israel 2012 on March 7, 2012 at the Haifa International Convention Centre in Haifa, Israel. She went on to competed at Miss World 2012 pageant, which was held on August 18' 2012 in Ordos, China. She competed with 115 beauties from across the world, and managed to secure Top 30 placement. Israel has never won any international pageant. Shani does have it in her what it takes to secure the first ever Miss International title for Israel. Thirteenth entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International UK 2014 Victoria Tooby. Victoria is 20 years of age, 174cm tall and has vital statistics of 82-60-90. She is truly a beauty with brains; after studying English language, drama, theatre studies and history at Eirias High School; she was granted a place at Oxford Brookes University to study law and aims to be a barrister. Victoria won the Miss International UK 2014 in a pageant held on September 25 at Palace Hotel in Manchester, to represent UK at Miss International 2014 to be held in Japan. Following the footsteps of her mother Caroline, The former Miss Wales, who now works as an accountant, took part in the same event, Miss International in 1982 when she was 21 year -old. Victoria proved that looks definitely run in her family as she was earlier crowned with Miss Teen Galaxy Wales 2011 and also won Miss Teen Colwyn Bay Galaxy 2011 title. UK had earlier won Miss International pageant twice, in the years 1969 and 1972. Victoria looks all set to clinch the coveted title of Miss International 2014 and make her mother’s dream come true. Twelfth entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Romania 2014 Anca Francesca Neculaiasa Pavel. Anca is 19 years of age, 176cm tall and has vital statistics of 84-62-90. She is a student of two faculties in Bucharest: Faculty of Geography of the University of Bucharest, Faculty of International Relations of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and a professional model too. Anca, competed in Miss Romania 2014 pageant held on October 4’ 2014 and begged the Miss International Romania 2014 title. She loves dancing, photography and painting. At the same event Bianca Fanu was crowned Miss World Romania. Romania has never won any international pageant. Apparently, Anca at this young age have it all to clinch the first ever international title for Romania. Fourteenth entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Philippines 2014 Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti (nicknamed Bianca Guidotti). Bianca is 25 years of age, 173cm tall, and has vital statistics of 90-61-90. She graduated with a degree in European Studies major in International Relations from Ateneo de Manila University. Bianca competed in Binibining Pilipinas 2014 pageant held on March 30’ 2014 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines, and was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2014 by Bea Rose Santiago, the reigning Miss International 2013. She was also awarded with Best in Long Gown title. Filipino beauties have always given phenomenal performances in the Miss International pageant’s history, having won the second highest number of titles in the years 1964, 1970, 1979, 2005 and 2013. Philippines also managed to bag many special awards, semi-finalists, finalists and runners-up placements. Bianca looks all set to succeed the reigning Miss International 2013 and win the sixth title for Philippines second time in a row. Eleventh entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss Colombia International 2014 Zuleika Kiara Suárez. Zuleika is 20 years of age, and stands tall at 180cm. She is a student of anthropology at the National University of Colombia and a professional model. Zuleika, competed in Miss Colombia 2013 (Señorita Colombia 2013) pageant held on November 11’ 2013 in Cartagena, where she finished as first runner-up or Miss Colombia International. At the same event Paulina Vega Dieppa was crowned Miss Colombia 2013. Colombian girls have been giving a tough competition at the international pageants, having won the first ever Miss International 1960 by Maria Stella Márquez Zawadzky. Tenth entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Indonesia 2014 Elfin Pertiwi Rappa. Elfin is just 19 years of age, and stands tall at 171 cm. She is a management student and also a professional model. Elfin was crowned Puteri Sumatera Selatan 2013 and went on to represent Sumatera Selatan at Puteri Indonesia 2014 pageant held on January 29' 2014 at in Jakarta Convention Center. She was crowned Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2014 (first runner-up at Puteri Indonesia 2014) at the conclusion of the pageant. At the same event, Elvira Devinamira was crowned the winner. Elfin at a very young age has several credits to her name in the field of modeling, namely Winner of Cover Guest Aneka Yess Magazine 2009, Brand Ambassador at Cardinal Awards 2010, Top 3 of Star Teen High End Teen Magazine 2011, Top 3 of Model of Indonesia 2012, Winner of Skin White Girl of Indonesia 2012, Gadis Palembang 2012 (Miss Teen Palembang 2012); and Gadis South Sumatera 2013. Eighth entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International France 2014 Aurianne Sinacola. Aurianne, a professional model, is 20 years of age, and stands tall at 176 cm. Aurianne was crowned Miss Côte d'Azur 2013 on August 3' 2013, when she was just 19 years old. She went on to compete in Miss France 2014, finals whereof were held on December 7' 2013 at Zénith in Dijon, in the Bourgogne region in France with 33 contestants competing for the coveted Miss France 2014 title. Aurianne finished as the third runner-up at the finals of Miss France 2014, the winner being Miss Orléanais, Flora Coquerel. The placement led to her anointment as Miss International France 2014. With Aurianne's representation at Miss International 2014, France is returning to the pageant after two years having not competed in Miss International 2012. France has won only one Miss International title till date, when Sophie Perin won Miss Internation 1976 crown. Bárbara competed in Miss Mundo Dominicana 2014 pageant held on September 10' 2014 at Centro Comercial Sambil, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where she was crowned Miss República Dominicana Internacional 2014 (or Miss International Dominican Republic 2014). As the Miss International 2014 commenced from October 27’ 2014, the gorgeous delegates from around the world seemed so excited and enthusiastic in participating in the chain of activities. Initiating with the orientation programme where the girls were briefed about the reason of the pageant and its rules and regulations to the showcasing of ancient Japanese tradition. The orientation was followed by Tea ceremony classes where the contestants had the taste of Japanese tea with enriching tea making session. At the Shibuya City the beauties had a fun filled shopping trip accompanied by tasting the delicacies of Japan. They also learned the eccentric traditional Japanese dance forms. Sixth entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Thailand 2014 Punika Kulsoontornrut (nicknamed Polly). Polly is 22 years of age, and stands tall at 175 cm. Polly's journey in the pageantry world began with her participation in Miss Universe Thailand 2013 in May' 2013, where however she failed to make it to the semi-finals. Undeterred by her placement at Miss Universe Thailand 2013, she went on to compete at Miss Earth Thailand 2013 pageant six months later, ending up winning the pageant and earning the title of Miss Earth Thailand 2013. With hardly any time to prepare for the Miss Earth 2013 pageant, she went on to represent Thailand at the Miss Earth 2013 pageant, where she was pitched against beauties from 88 other countries. Her confidence, personality, and friendly attitude won her several special awards and she managed to secure the Top 4 placement. She finished as the second runner-up at the pageant finals, and was crowned Miss Earth Water 2013, the highest ever title ever won by a Thai beauty queen in the history of Miss Earth pageant. She was recently in news for her dethronement as Miss Earth Water 2013 due to her decision to participate in Miss International 2014 in violation of her agreement with the organizers of Miss Earth pageant. One of the Big 4 beauty pageants; Miss International 2014 has officially set on fire from October 27’ 2014 in Grand Prince Hotel, Tokyo, Japan, with the orientation of 77 delegates from around the world who have already arrived for the grand event. This is the 54th edition of the Miss International beauty pageant. The reigning Miss International, Bea Rose Santiago from Philippines, briefed the delegates about the norms and itinerary of the events. Miss International 2014 pageant will be filled with fun, excitement and learning sessions for the beauties. The events have lots of culturally enriching activities which provides a platform to the contestants to showcase their talent and culture of their home country. The events also focus on the tradition of the host country, Japan with activities such as Japanese traditional tea ceremony, experience of Japanese traditional dance, Sushi lunch etc. The official presentation of Miss International 2014 pageant will be held on November 4’ 2014, the same day Miss International Japan 2015 will be crowned. The finals will take place on November 11’ 2014 at Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan. Miss International beauty pageant is aimed at promoting “Love Peace and Excitement to the World”. Fifth entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Netherlands 2014 Shauny Bult. Shauny is 23 years of age, and stands tall at 180 cm. She hails from Boxtel, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands, and is a professional model. She is also pursuing her graduation in 'Built Environment and Real Estate', a sector which is primarily dominated by men. Shauny had earlier represented Netherlands at Miss Earth 2012 pageant, where she could not manage to make it to Top 16. Fourth entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Brazil 2014 Deise Benício. Deise is 23 years of age, and stands tall at 178cm. She is a student of Petroleum Engineering in UFRN and a professional model. Deise competed in Miss Rio Grande do Norte 2014 pageant held on July 31’ 2014 at Villa Hall and was crowned the winner of the pageant. She then competed in Miss Brazil 2014 pageant, finals whereof were held on September 27' 2014 at the Events Center of Ceará, Fortaleza. At the finals of Miss Brazil 2014, Deise finished as the first runner-up. At the same event, Melissa Gurgel was crowned Miss Brazil 2014. Brazilian beauties have been giving their best in the international pageants, having won Miss International 1968 title, and having secured many semi-finalists, finalists and runners-up placements. In the last three years Brazil has consistently been making its way to Top 15. Deise looks all set to clinch the crown for Brazil after a long gap of forty six (46) years.

Third entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Venezuela 2014 Michelle Bertolini (Michelle Marie Bertolini Araque) . Michelle is 20 years of age, and stands tall at 180 cm. Michelle represented Guarico state at Miss Venezuela 2013 pageant, finals whereof were held on October 10' 2013. At the finals of the Miss Venezuela 2013 pageant, Michelle placed as First Runner-up, and was crowned Miss Venezuela International 2013. She also deservingly won the Miss Photogenic and Most Beautiful Face awards. Venezuela is as of date the most successful country at Miss International 2014 pageant, having won six (6) titles so far in 1985, 1997, 2000, 2003, 2006 and 2010. Last Miss International winner from Venezuela was in 2010, when Elizabeth Mosquera was crowned Miss International 2010. Michelle looks all set to retain the 'leader' title for Venezuela in 2014! Second entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International India 2014 Jhataleka Malhotra. The Mumbai girl Jhataleka, is 19 years of age and stands tall at 173 cm. She is a student of MMK College in Mumbai, and is also a professional model. Her entry to the pageantry world was with Miss Diva 2013, where she finished Top 5 and also received the Miss Photogenic award. She then went on to compete at Femina Miss India World 2014, and was crowned Miss India International 2014 by her predecessor Shobhita Dhulipala, also winning the Best in National Costume award at the event. Megan Young of Philippines, the reigning Miss World, was a special guest and judge at the Miss India World 2014 pageant. India has so far never one any Miss International title, though has won the remaining three of the Big 4 titles (Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Earth) at least once. Jhataleka looks all set to win the first ever title for India in 2014!

First entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Mexico 2014 Vianey Vázquez Ramírez. Vianey was born on April 25' 1994 in San Miguel el Alto, Jalisco, and stands tall at 178 cm. She is a student of Industrial Engineering. Vianey participated in the state contest Nuestra Belleza Aguascalientes 2013, winning first place and the right to represent her state at the Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2013 pageant. She then competed at the 20th annual Nuestra Belleza Mexico pageant, which was held on October 19, 2013, with thirty-three (33) contestants competing for the national title. She finished the second runner-up at the event, and was appointed Miss International Mexico 2014. The winner of Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2013 was Josselyn Garciglia, who was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2014. Mexico had won its first Miss International title in the year 2007, when Priscila Perales was crowned Miss International 2007, and the second title for Mexico was in 2009, when Anagabriela Espinoza was crowned Miss International 2009. Vianey looks all set to win the third title for Mexico in 2014!

At the final pageant night of Miss Venezuela 2014 held on October 9’ 2014 at the Estudio 1 of Venevision in Caracas Venezuela, Edymar Martínez, the reigning Miss Anzoátegui has been crowned as Miss Venezuela International 2014 by her predecessor Michelle Bertolini, Miss Venezuela International 2013. Edymar, 19 years of age and stands tall at 5’10” will represent Venezuela at Miss International 2015. At the same event, Mariana Jiménez, the reigning Miss Guárico was crowned Miss Venezuela 2014. She will represent Venezuela at Miss Universe 2015. Maira Alexandra Rodríguez, the reigning Miss Amazonas was crowned as Miss Venezuela Earth 2014. She will represent Venezuela at Miss Earth 2015. Also, Lorena Santos finished as first runner-up and Erika Pinto as second runner-up at the conclusion of the event.
