Valerie Weigmann is a Filipino beauty queen who crowned Miss World Philippines 2014 in a pageant held on October 12’ 2014, in Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City, Philippines. At the same event she bagged many special awards and titles like Best in Fashion Runaway, Best in Long Gown, Miss Solaire, Miss Figlia, Jessie Mendez Salon Ambassador, Miss Reticin 2014, Miss Bluewater Day Spa, Miss Bench, and Miss Olay. Valerie is an established Television actress and a successful professional model. She started her career in the year 2008 with the second teen edition of Pinoy Big Brother a Television show. In the year 2013 she became part of the TV series of TV5, Kidlat and also became a regular co-host of the noontime show of GMA Network, Eat Bulaga. She also star in TV commercials and appear on magazines. Valerie looks to be a strong contender at the ongoing Miss World 2014 pageant, as she is one of the most admired beauty queen among others. Miss World 2014 - 10 Finalists for Beauty with a Purpose announced

At the ongoing 64th edition of Miss World beauty pageant in London, another event was organized on November 28’ 2014, at Grosvenor Hotel in London in which 10 finalists were announced for Beauty with a Purpose, one of whom will become the winner of Beauty with a Purpose challenge event.“Beauty with a purpose” is considered as the heart of Miss World beauty pageant. It was created by Julia Morley in 1972. Through this event hundreds of millions of pounds are raised and donated to the international organizations in aid of the sick, needy, poor and disadvantaged children.This year over 20 thousand pounds were raised. In addition to that , Miss World 1953 Denise Perrier of France donated the trophy she won when she was elected as Miss World, 61 years ago. It was sold for 30 thousand pounds.This year also the girls put on their finest gowns for the classic event of Miss World Charity Gala and Auction. Different projects were taken up by the contestants like providing poor women with sexual education, repairing cleft lips, making people aware of blood and organ donations etc. Few of the eye catching projects included one from Serbia where the contestant trained a disabled volleyball team in her home country which indeed helped in transforming the team. Valerie Weigmann crowned Miss World Philippines 2014

Valerie Weigmann has been crowned Miss World Philippines 2014 at the conclusion of coronation night held tonight at the Mall of Asia Arena, Manila, Philippines. She succeeds the beautiful Miss World Philippines 2013 Megan Young, who is also the reigning Miss World. Twenty-six (26) beautiful ladies competed for the coveted title at the gala finals night.Valerie also walked away with a number of special awards and sponsor awards including Best in Long Gown, Best in Fashion Runaway, Miss Solaire, Miss Figlia, Jessie Mendez Salon Ambassador, Miss Reticin 2014, Miss Bluewater Day Spa, Miss Bench, Miss Olay and Miss Hana.Valerie, who is 24 years of age and stands tall at 175cm, will now represent Philippines at Miss World 2014 pageant to be held in London, England later this year. And she will be under considerable pressure to deliver a back-to-back title for Philippines. Megan Young was the first Filipina to win the Miss World title for Philippines in the year 2013. Today, at the press presentation held at the Eclipse Bar & Lounge at Solaire Resort & Casino, the twenty-six (26) candidates of Miss World Philippines 2014 were officially presented to the media. The candidates will now compete at the Miss World Philippines 2014 finals scheduled for October 12' 2014 at the Mall of Asia, Arena. Megan Young, the Miss World Philippines 2013 and the reigning Miss World, will crown her successor as Miss World Philippines 2014 at the finals nights. The winner will go on to compete at the Miss World 2014 pageant to be held in London, England on December 14' 2014. After screening Miss World Philippines 2014 aspirants on September 9 and 10' 2014, initial twenty-one (21) finalists have been shortlisted by the Miss World Philippines organization.
