Fourteenth entry to our Top Sixteen (16) Hot Picks for Miss Earth 2014 is Miss Earth Venezuela 2014 Maira Alexandra Rodriguez. Maira Alexandra is 22 years of age, 176cm tall, and has vital statistics of 86-58-89. She was a student of Public Relations and is a model by profession. Maira first participated in Miss Venezuela World 2013 pageant representing the Distrito Capital state. She could not win the pageant. She then participated in Miss Aragua where she was selected among the representatives of the state toward the Miss Venezuela pageant. Maira competed with twenty four (24) other beautiful contestants in the Miss Venezuela 2014 pageant and was crowned Miss Venezuela Earth 2014 by her predecessor Stephanie de Zorzi, who was supposed to represent Venezuela at Miss Earth 2014 pageant. But on November 3’ 2014, Miss Venezuela Organization decided not to let her compete due to her weight issues. Maira was then appointed to represent Venezuela at the ongoing Miss Earth 2014 pageant. Maira was also awarded with Miss Confidence and Miss Elegance title at the special awards of Miss Venezuela 2014 pageant. Venezuela had won its first Miss Earth crown in the year 2013, when Alyz Henrich was crowned Miss Earth 2013. Maira is a strong contender to win the second crown in a row for Venezuela. Stephanie de Zorzi has been dethroned of her title as Miss Venezuela Earth 2013, and Maira Alexandra Rodríguez has been appointed in lieu to represent Venezuela at the upcoming Miss Earth 2014 pageant to be held on November 29' 2014 in Manila, Philippines. Maira Alexandra Rodríguez was recently crowned Miss Earth Venezuela 2014 at the finals of the Miss Venezuela 2014 pageant held on October 9' 2014, and was supposed to represent Venezuela at Miss Earth 2015 pageant next year. However, due to dethronement of Stephanie de Zorzi , she will now compete at Miss Earth 2014 instead. Stephanie was stripped off her title as Miss Venezuela Earth 2013, which was apparently due to her gaining a few more pounds after a modeling job in México, and was consequently replaced with Miss Venezuela Earth 2014 Maira Alexandra Rodríguez.Maira, who represented the province of Amazonas at Miss Venezuela 2014, won the Miss Earth Venezuela title, and also received the special awards for Miss Confianza (Miss Confidence) and Miss Elegancia (Miss Elegance). The sudden appointment leaves her with very little time to prepare for the international pageant, and she will now need to put in serious efforts to become a strong contender for the Miss Earth 2014 title.

At the final pageant night of Miss Venezuela 2014 held on October 9’ 2014 at the Estudio 1 of Venevision in Caracas Venezuela, Maira Alexandra Rodríguez, the reigning Miss Amazonas was crowned as Miss Venezuela Earth 2014 by her predecessor Stephanie de Zorzi, Miss Venezuela Earth 2013. Maira, 22 years of age and stands tall at 5’10” will represent Venezuela at Miss Earth 2015. At the same event, Mariana Jiménez, the reigning Miss Guárico was crowned Miss Venezuela 2014. She will represent Venezuela at Miss Universe 2015. Edymar Martínez, the reigning Miss Anzoátegui was crowned as Miss Venezuela International 2014. She will represent Venezuela at Miss International 2015. Also, Lorena Santos finished as first runner-up and Erika Pinto as second runner-up at the conclusion of the event.

Miss Venezuela 2014 final coronation is scheduled to be held on October 9, 2014 at the Estudio 1 of Venevision in Caracas, Venezuela, and will broadcast live on Venevision. The reigning queen Migbelis Castellanos, Miss Venezuela 2013, will crown her successor Miss Venezuela Universe 2014 at the end of the gala event. Also Michelle Bertolini and Stephanie de Zorzi will crown their respective successors as Miss Venezuela International 2014 and Miss Venezuela Earth 2014. The winners of the pageant will represent Venezuela in Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Earth for 2015 respectively. Twenty-five beautiful finalists will be competing for the titles at the gala final night. It may be noted that the winner of Miss Venezuela 2014 will represent Venezuela at Miss Universe 2015, and the runners-up Miss Venezuela International 2014 & Miss Venezuela Earth 2014 will respectively represent Venezuela at Miss International 2015 and Miss Earth 2015.
