Miss International 2014 Special Award Winners

At the final coronation of Miss International 2014 held on November 11’ 2014 at Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan, special awards in different categories were given to the gorgeous ladies. The contestants were awarded on the basis of friendship, internet voting, body, national costume etc. At the same event Valerie Hernandez of Puerto Rico was crowned Miss International 2014. Given below are the various title categories and their respective winners: Zuleika Kiara Suárez (Colombia) – Miss Friendship & Miss Best Dresser, Jhataleka Malhotra (India) – Miss Internet, Elfin Pertiwi Rappa (Indonesia) – Miss National Costume, Aurianne Sinacola (France) – Miss Perfect Body.

Jhataleka Malhotra wins Miss Internet Beauty title

Jhataleka Malhotra, the representative of India at Miss International 2014, won the title of Miss Internet Beauty at the recently concluded pageant in Tokyo, Japan having received the highest number of public votes in an online poll conducted by the official pageant site. Jhataleka, who is 20 years of age and stands tall at 178 cm, was amongst the top favourites to win the Miss International 2014 by several pageant experts worldwide (including Angelopedia). She, however, did not place amongst the Top 10 finalists at Miss International 2014. She was probably let down by her stylists and designers, and could not manage to make the requisite impact on the jury. And particularly, the choice of evening gown for her was not at all appropriate for such an important event - it was the least impressive!

Miss International 2014 Top 15 Favourites - India

Second entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International India 2014 Jhataleka Malhotra. The Mumbai girl Jhataleka, is 19 years of age and stands tall at 173 cm. She is a student of MMK College in Mumbai, and is also a professional model. Her entry to the pageantry world was with Miss Diva 2013, where she finished Top 5 and also received the Miss Photogenic award. She then went on to compete at Femina Miss India World 2014, and was crowned Miss India International 2014 by her predecessor Shobhita Dhulipala, also winning the Best in National Costume award at the event. Megan Young of Philippines, the reigning Miss World, was a special guest and judge at the Miss India World 2014 pageant. India has so far never one any Miss International title, though has won the remaining three of the Big 4 titles (Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Earth) at least once. Jhataleka looks all set to win the first ever title for India in 2014!
