Seventh entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Dominican Republic 2014 Bárbara Santana. Bárbara is 21 years of age, and stands tall at 180cm. Bárbara competed in Miss Mundo Dominicana 2014 pageant held on September 10' 2014 at Centro Comercial Sambil, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where she was crowned Miss República Dominicana Internacional 2014 (or Miss International Dominican Republic 2014). She was also awarded with Miss Photogenic title. At the same event Dhio Moreno was crowned Miss Mundo Dominicana 2014 (Miss World Dominican Republic 2014). Bárbara looks all set to make its mark by winning the first ever Miss International pageant for Dominican Republic. What do you think? As the Miss International 2014 commenced from October 27’ 2014, the gorgeous delegates from around the world seemed so excited and enthusiastic in participating in the chain of activities. Initiating with the orientation programme where the girls were briefed about the reason of the pageant and its rules and regulations to the showcasing of ancient Japanese tradition. The orientation was followed by Tea ceremony classes where the contestants had the taste of Japanese tea with enriching tea making session. At the Shibuya City the beauties had a fun filled shopping trip accompanied by tasting the delicacies of Japan. They also learned the eccentric traditional Japanese dance forms. Sixth entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Thailand 2014 Punika Kulsoontornrut (nicknamed Polly). Polly is 22 years of age, and stands tall at 175 cm. Polly's journey in the pageantry world began with her participation in Miss Universe Thailand 2013 in May' 2013, where however she failed to make it to the semi-finals. Undeterred by her placement at Miss Universe Thailand 2013, she went on to compete at Miss Earth Thailand 2013 pageant six months later, ending up winning the pageant and earning the title of Miss Earth Thailand 2013. With hardly any time to prepare for the Miss Earth 2013 pageant, she went on to represent Thailand at the Miss Earth 2013 pageant, where she was pitched against beauties from 88 other countries. Her confidence, personality, and friendly attitude won her several special awards and she managed to secure the Top 4 placement. She finished as the second runner-up at the pageant finals, and was crowned Miss Earth Water 2013, the highest ever title ever won by a Thai beauty queen in the history of Miss Earth pageant. She was recently in news for her dethronement as Miss Earth Water 2013 due to her decision to participate in Miss International 2014 in violation of her agreement with the organizers of Miss Earth pageant. Thailand has never ever won any Miss International title, and given Polly's pageantry experience, charm, and beauty, Polly has the potential to secure the first ever Miss International title for Thailand. One of the Big 4 beauty pageants; Miss International 2014 has officially set on fire from October 27’ 2014 in Grand Prince Hotel, Tokyo, Japan, with the orientation of 77 delegates from around the world who have already arrived for the grand event. This is the 54th edition of the Miss International beauty pageant. The reigning Miss International, Bea Rose Santiago from Philippines, briefed the delegates about the norms and itinerary of the events. Miss International 2014 pageant will be filled with fun, excitement and learning sessions for the beauties. The events have lots of culturally enriching activities which provides a platform to the contestants to showcase their talent and culture of their home country. The events also focus on the tradition of the host country, Japan with activities such as Japanese traditional tea ceremony, experience of Japanese traditional dance, Sushi lunch etc. The official presentation of Miss International 2014 pageant will be held on November 4’ 2014, the same day Miss International Japan 2015 will be crowned. The finals will take place on November 11’ 2014 at Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan. Miss International beauty pageant is aimed at promoting “Love Peace and Excitement to the World”. The Contestants of the pageant are expected to serve as "Ambassadors of Peace and Beauty", serving tenderness, generosity, friendship, beauty, intelligence and a great international sensibility.

Fifth entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Netherlands 2014 Shauny Bult. Shauny is 23 years of age, and stands tall at 180 cm. She hails from Boxtel, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands, and is a professional model. She is also pursuing her graduation in 'Built Environment and Real Estate', a sector which is primarily dominated by men. Shauny had earlier represented Netherlands at Miss Earth 2012 pageant, where she could not manage to make it to Top 16. Last time, when Netherlands won Miss International title was 53 years back in 1961, which Stam van Baer was crowned Miss International 1961 at the second edition of Miss International pageant. Fourth entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Brazil 2014 Deise Benício. Deise is 23 years of age, and stands tall at 178cm. She is a student of Petroleum Engineering in UFRN and a professional model. Deise competed in Miss Rio Grande do Norte 2014 pageant held on July 31’ 2014 at Villa Hall and was crowned the winner of the pageant. She then competed in Miss Brazil 2014 pageant, finals whereof were held on September 27' 2014 at the Events Center of Ceará, Fortaleza. At the finals of Miss Brazil 2014, Deise finished as the first runner-up. At the same event, Melissa Gurgel was crowned Miss Brazil 2014. Brazilian beauties have been giving their best in the international pageants, having won Miss International 1968 title, and having secured many semi-finalists, finalists and runners-up placements. In the last three years Brazil has consistently been making its way to Top 15. Deise looks all set to clinch the crown for Brazil after a long gap of forty six (46) years.

Third entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Venezuela 2014 Michelle Bertolini (Michelle Marie Bertolini Araque) . Michelle is 20 years of age, and stands tall at 180 cm. Michelle represented Guarico state at Miss Venezuela 2013 pageant, finals whereof were held on October 10' 2013. At the finals of the Miss Venezuela 2013 pageant, Michelle placed as First Runner-up, and was crowned Miss Venezuela International 2013. She also deservingly won the Miss Photogenic and Most Beautiful Face awards. Venezuela is as of date the most successful country at Miss International 2014 pageant, having won six (6) titles so far in 1985, 1997, 2000, 2003, 2006 and 2010. Last Miss International winner from Venezuela was in 2010, when Elizabeth Mosquera was crowned Miss International 2010. Michelle looks all set to retain the 'leader' title for Venezuela in 2014! Second entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International India 2014 Jhataleka Malhotra. The Mumbai girl Jhataleka, is 19 years of age and stands tall at 173 cm. She is a student of MMK College in Mumbai, and is also a professional model. Her entry to the pageantry world was with Miss Diva 2013, where she finished Top 5 and also received the Miss Photogenic award. She then went on to compete at Femina Miss India World 2014, and was crowned Miss India International 2014 by her predecessor Shobhita Dhulipala, also winning the Best in National Costume award at the event. Megan Young of Philippines, the reigning Miss World, was a special guest and judge at the Miss India World 2014 pageant. India has so far never one any Miss International title, though has won the remaining three of the Big 4 titles (Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Earth) at least once. Jhataleka looks all set to win the first ever title for India in 2014!

First entry to our Top 15 favourites list for Miss International 2014 is Miss International Mexico 2014 Vianey Vázquez Ramírez. Vianey was born on April 25' 1994 in San Miguel el Alto, Jalisco, and stands tall at 178 cm. She is a student of Industrial Engineering. Vianey participated in the state contest Nuestra Belleza Aguascalientes 2013, winning first place and the right to represent her state at the Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2013 pageant. She then competed at the 20th annual Nuestra Belleza Mexico pageant, which was held on October 19, 2013, with thirty-three (33) contestants competing for the national title. She finished the second runner-up at the event, and was appointed Miss International Mexico 2014. The winner of Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2013 was Josselyn Garciglia, who was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2014. Mexico had won its first Miss International title in the year 2007, when Priscila Perales was crowned Miss International 2007, and the second title for Mexico was in 2009, when Anagabriela Espinoza was crowned Miss International 2009. Vianey looks all set to win the third title for Mexico in 2014!

At the final splendid night of Miss Egypt 2014 pageant held on September 26’ 2014 at Sofitel Hotel - Cairo, Nancy Magdy has been crowned Miss Earth Egypt 2014. Nancy, 19 years of age, competed with seventeen other finalists to clinch the coveted crown. She will now represent Egypt at the Miss Earth 2014 pageant. The event this year had some special guests attending including Stefania Fernandez from Venezuela, Miss Universe 2009; Tereza Fajksová from Czech Republic, Miss Earth 2012; Ekaterina Plekhova from Russia, Miss Intercontinental 2013; Katia Wagner, Miss Austria Earth 2013; and Wahiba Arres, Miss Tunisia 2014. Other winners at Miss Egypt 2014 were - Lara Debbane who was crowned Miss Universe Egypt 2014 and Amina Ashraf who was crowned Miss World Egypt 2014. Heba Hesham was the first runner-up and Shaymaa Mohamed was the second runner-up, and they are expected to represent Egypt at Miss International 2014 and Miss Intercontinental 2014 respectively.

Jéssica Servín has been crowned Miss International Paraguay 2014 (Miss Internacional Paraguay 2014) at the finals of Nuestra Belleza Paraguay 2014 pageant held on September 13' 2014 in Resort Yacht y Golf Club Paraguayo, Lambare, Paraguay. She was crowned by her predecessor Marta Raviolo, the Miss International Paraguay 2013. Jéssica Servín hails from Luque. She is 23 years of age, and stands tall at 175 cm. She will now represent Paraguay at the Miss International 2014 pageant to be held in Tokyo, Japan on November 11' 2014. At the same event, Myriam Arévalos has been crowned Miss World Paraguay 2014 (Miss Mundo Paraguay 2014), Sendy Cáceres has been crowned Miss Earth Paraguay 2014 (Miss Tierra Paraguay 2014), and Sally Jara has been crowned Miss Universe Paraguay 2014 (Miss Paraguay 2014). Fifteen finalists competed for the four titles at stake at the final night, and a chance to represent Paraguay at one of the Big 4 International pageants.

Dhio Moreno from Santo Domingo Este has been crowned Miss Mundo Dominicana 2014 (Miss World Dominican Republic 2014) on September 10' 2014 at the finals of the event held at Centro Comercial Sambil, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She was crowned by her predecessor, the outgoing queen Joely Bernat, the Miss Mundo Dominicana 2013. Dhio Morenois is a professional model, is 24 years of age and stands tall at 5’11". She will now represent Dominican Republic at Miss World 2014 pageant to be held on December 14' 2014 in London, England. At the same event, Barbara Santana was crowned Miss República Dominicana Internacional 2014 (or Miss International Dominican Republic 2014). She will be Dominican Republic's official representative at Miss International 2014 to be held in Tokyo, Japan on November 11' 2014. Also, Mayte Brito Medina was crowned Miss República Dominicana Tiera 2015 (or Miss Earth Dominican Republic 2015), and will go on to compete in Miss Earth 2015.

This lovely Thai beauty queen is a pageant veteran having competed in Miss Universe Thailand 2013, Miss Earth Thailand 2013, and Miss Earth 2013. Though she failed to place at Miss Universe Thailand 2013, she won the first edition of Miss Earth Thailand 2013 pageant on November 15' 2013. She went on to compete at Miss Earth 2013 pageant held in Philippines on December 7' 2013. Despite the limited time she got to prepare for the Miss Earth 2013 pageant, she reached the Top 4 and was crowned Miss Earth - Water 2013. Also, she won the special awards for 'Best in Resorts Wear' and 'Most Child Friendly' in Group 3 besides winning several sponsor awards. She was one of the fan favourites to win the crown
