Team Nepal For International Beauty Pageants In 2021
Nepal has risen in the pageantry in the last few years with impeccable performances by the Nepali queens who have shown that they will not back down until they win a major crown for their country. Every year, the organization makes sure that they send qualified and hardworking girls who secure a strong position in the pageant. With Miss Universe Nepal being made a separate organization in 2020, there will surely be more changes to be seen in terms of placement at the international stage in the upcoming edition. This year, a batch of talented, beautiful and hardworking ladies have been crowned/appointed to represent Nepal at the international pageants. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the crowned queens who will be representing their country at their respective international pageants – Miss Universe Nepal 2020 Anshika Sharma, Miss World Nepal 2020 Namrata Shrestha, Miss Earth Nepal 2020 Supriya Shrestha, Miss International Nepal 2020 Sandhya Sharma, Miss Supranational Nepal 2020 Shimal Kanaujiya, Miss Grand Nepal 2020 Ambika Joshi Rana, Miss Intercontinental Nepal 2020 Nisha Pathak.

Miss Universe Nepal 2020 Anshika Sharma
The first edition of Miss Universe Nepal under the directorship of Nagma Shrestha was held on 30th December 2020 where Anshika Sharma was crowned Miss Universe Nepal 2020. She was crowned by the director herself and succeeded Miss Universe Nepal 2019 Pradeepta Adhikari to represent Nepal at Miss Universe 2020. The 24-year-old stunning woman is a Nepali residing in Sydney, Australia. Anshika is an advocate for education and sincerely believes that education can change the world. She believes that children, no matter what background they come from, need to be provided with education to improve their quality of life, economy and thus the future of the country. Anshika rose to fame when she was adjudged the first runner-up at the conclusion of Miss Nepal Oceania 2020 held on 14th March 2020 in Australia.

Miss World Nepal 2020 Namrata Shrestha
Namrata Shrestha was crowned Miss World Nepal 2020 at Miss Nepal 2020 held on 5th December 2020. Namrata succeeds Miss Nepal 2019 Anushka Shrestha and will represent Nepal at Miss World 2021. Namrata hails from Kathmandu. It was her second try at the competition as she first participated in Miss Nepal 2016. Shrestha, a student of sociology and a certified kindergarten teacher. Along with winning the national crown, Namrata also bagged the Miss Confident subtitle and The Kathmandu Post Miss Intellectual subtitle. She will definitely be a strong contender for the international crown.

Miss Earth Nepal 2020 Supriya Shrestha
Supriya Shrestha was crowned Miss Earth Nepal 2020 on 5th December 2020 as she became of the official representative of Nepal at Miss Earth 2021. Supriya succeeds Riya Basnet Miss Earth Nepal 2019. Nepal did not send any representative to Miss Earth 2020 which was held virtually. Supriya is 22-years-old and stands 170 cm tall who aspires to become an atmospheric scientist. She is an environmental engineer from Kathmandu University School of Medical Science. During the competition, she was asked, ‘What does it mean to be a Nepali for you?’, to which she gracefully answered, “For me being a Nepali is holding pride to be the daughter of this country. I am proud of all the Himalayas and the Tarai Pahar and Nepal. I love my people who offer anything but love, we are the ones who ensure hospitality no matter who comes to our doorstep and we give you experience that will only come again and again. We are the leaders, we are the Gurkhas and I’m proud and shining to be a Nepali, a contestant of the most auspicious crown; Miss Nepal 2020.”

Miss International Nepal 2020 Sandhya Sharma
Sandhya Sharma was crowned Miss International Nepal 2020 on 5th December 2020 as she became the official representative of Nepal at Miss International 2021. Sandhya was a dark horse at the competition as she outshined at the finale. Along with winning Miss International Nepal 2020, she also won Miss Popular choice, Miss Beauty with purpose and Miss beauty with substance awards. With her sincerity and dedication, Sandhya will definitely be a strong contender at the international platform.

Miss Supranational Nepal 2020 Shimal Kanaujiya
Shimal Kanaujiya was crowned Miss Supranational Nepal 2020 on 10th December 2020 as she became the official representative of Nepal at the upcoming edition of Miss Supranational. Shimal succeeds Miss Supranational Nepal 2019 Rose Lama for the title. Shimal is 24-years-old and stands 164 cm tall. She works as a professional model and aspires to be an entrepreneur. On her win, Shimal said, “It took me years of patience and preparation to take up my space today. I hope I will be able to unleash my potential and present myself in the best possible way.”

Miss Grand Nepal 2020 Ambika Joshi Rana
Ambika Joshi Rana was crowned Miss Grand Nepal 2020 on 13th December 2020 as she became the official representative of Nepal at Miss Grand International 2020. Ambika succeeds Miss Grand Nepal 2019 Nisha Pathak for the title. Ambika is 21-years-old and is a student of Bachelors of Medicine and surgery. She wants to use the platform of Miss Grand Nepal 2020 to touch the lives of people and be the voice of unheard and neglected and open doors for people to work.

Miss Intercontinental Nepal 2020 Nisha Pathak
Nisha Pathak was crowned Miss Intercontinental Nepal 2020 on 24th November 2020 and will represent Nepal at Miss Intercontinental 2020. Nisha is 23-years-old and stands 174 cm tall and is a Program Presenter who earlier worked with Health Television and currently works with Mero TV. The diva is not new to the beauty pageant world as she represented Nepal at Miss Grand International 2019 and was highly appreciated for her stint throughout the beauty competition. She has also won a runner-up position at Miss Heritage International and the winner of Miss Global International 2014.
