Gloren Guelos Miss Earth Canada 2020

Gloren Guelos was crowned Miss Earth Canada 2020 on 19th September 2020 and is representing the home country for the title of Miss Earth 2020. The diva’s advocacy for the competition is to find a sustainable way to recycle medical masks. With the spike in the use of disposable PPE’s, she explains that we do not have a way to properly recycle the masks. As Miss Earth Canada, she will be working with the University of British Columbia Bioproducts Institute to implement their research on making biodegradable masks and educate her community about proper waste management.

Kelly Avila Miss Earth Costa Rica 2020

Kelly Avila was crowned Miss Earth Costa Rica 2020 on 7th May 2019 and is representing the home country for the title of Miss Earth 2020. The diva’s advocacy for the competition is to “Leave the place better than we found it”. She explains that she grew up with the same premise of life and she loves the idea of sharing this way of thinking because she feels that if individuals do this in every place that they visit, we can create a big change with small actions. Day by day, moment by moment.

Jessica Polanco Miss Earth Dominican Republic 2020

Jessica Polanco was crowned Miss Earth Dominican Republic 2020 on 29th August 2020 and is representing the home country for the title of Miss Earth 2020. The diva’s advocacy for the competition is to raise awareness about the responsible use of plastic, the classification of recyclable materials and organic and solid waste. She believes that we are at a stage where we must mature in the environmental issue, accept that the usual way of acting and thinking has not achieved anything positive, and that to evolve as a tourist and ecological destination we must all act together.

Leila Rose Rosette Miss Earth Guadeloupe 2020

Leila Rose-Rosette was appointed Miss Earth Guadeloupe 2020 on 22nd September 2020 and is representing the home country for the title of Miss Earth 2020. The diva’s advocacy for the competition is “Clean My Island” which is an association which cleans all the wastes that the inhabitants left. But that is not enough because they start doing it again often. The population have gotten used to throwing away their wastes in nature. It's our role to educate the youngest to stop that cycle. Especially when we know that everything ends up in the sea.

Gabriela Castillo Miss Earth Guatemala 2020

Gabriela Castillo was crowned Miss Earth Guatemala 2020 on 13th September 2020 and is representing the home country for the title of Miss Earth 2020. The diva’s advocacy for the competition is promoting adaptation over mitigation. She explains that if we learn to adapt ourselves, to get to know and love the ecosystems that surrounds us, just like we do every time we start an academic career, a job or even when we get to know new people, we will be able to avoid the necessity to mitigate the negative impacts of our acts towards our Mother Earth. By adapting, will mean to get to know our Mother Earth and learning how to live in it.

Mary Cruz Cardona was appointed Miss Earth Honduras 2020 on 13th October 2020 and is representing the home country for the title of Miss Earth 2020. The diva’s advocacy for the competition is to promote values like respecting each other and the environment, tolerance, and learning to listen. She describes herself as an altruistic person who is dedicated towards working for charitable causes.

Catherine Harris Miss Earth Jamaica 2020

Catherine Harris was crowned Miss Earth Jamaica 2020 on 23rd September 2020 and is representing the home country for the title of Miss Earth 2020. The diva’s advocacy for the competition is for children who are less fortunate and are currently in children homes that do not have the luxury of their parents to nurture and love them. Through the platform she will implore persons to give of their time to interact and make these children feel love. Also, to educate individuals on the importance of the three R’s (reduce, reuse, recycle) and how they help to us to have a much healthier environment.

Graciela Ballesteros was appointed Miss Earth Mexico 2020 on 15th September 2020 and is representing the home country for the title of Miss Earth 2020. The diva’s advocacy for the competition is faithfully believing that people should go back a little to the times of before, where people bought their food from peasants and in those times when they helped the economy of people who strive daily to get ahead. They were times when food was not full of chemicals that cause so much damage to our health, when laws were implemented to prevent large industries from contaminating our food and altering the food of the meats, we consume to generate greater profits.

Anayansi De Gracia was crowned Miss Earth Panama 2020 on 22nd August 2020 and is representing the home country for the title of Miss Earth 2020. The diva’s advocacy for the competition is to be a spokesperson to request insertion of the subject of environmental education in the study curriculum of Panama and the world. She also wants to promote ecotourism and climate change and will carry out recreational activities of appreciation and knowledge of nature through contact with it, creating awareness of the importance of caring for it.

Krystal Badillo was appointed Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2020 on 19th May 2020 and is representing the home country for the title of Miss Earth 2020. The diva’s advocacy for the competition is to spread through her presence, voice and action, everything that serves as motivation to build awareness and set an example that we are all agents of change to build a better planet. The efforts of all united will make a change and the time is now.

Lindsey Coffey Miss Earth United States 2020

Lindsey Coffey was crowned Miss Earth United States 2020 on 9th August 2020 and is representing the home country for the title of Miss Earth 2020. The diva’s advocacy for the competition is to raise awareness about the water crisis as it poses the most immediate risk as it affects humanity and regional stability. The diva explains that our water on Earth is limited due to pollution, overuse and the increase of demand, lack of or outdated infrastructure, as well as changes in weather patterns due to global warming. Globally, we must turn to ecological restoration, contour farming, rainwater harvesting, and desalination in order to combat this crisis.

Isabella Bennett Miss Earth US Virgin Islands 2020

Isabella Bennett was appointed Miss Earth US Virgin Island 2020 on 31st July 2020 and is representing the home country for the title of Miss Earth 2020. The diva’s advocacy for the competition is about “Planet Critical: Climate Change Education”. She explains that climate change is the greatest environmental challenge of our time and it will require bold solutions in order to solve the climate crisis. She firmly believes that these solutions will not be possible without universal acceptance of the scientific consensus on climate change and a larger knowledge of climate change from the general public. That’s where her advocacy comes in; as she feels that the best way to advocate for environmental policy and climate justice is by providing information and free resources to help educate the public on climate change and its global impacts.
