Alanna Matamaru Smith Miss World Cook Islands 2017 Finalist Miss World 2017

Alanna Matamaru Smith representing Cook Islands in Miss World 2017 is 25 years of age and stands tall at a towering height of 180 cm. Alanna gained a bachelor degree in Applied Science and is currently working as a Senior Project Manager for an Environmental NGO Conservation. Her future ambitions are to complete her Master’s Degree in Ecology and secure a climate change position at the UN office in New York City. Among other hobbies, Alanna enjoys snorkelling, hiking, kite surfing and mountain climbing. She has ten piglets and many chickens as pets. Believing in the best she says, 'Never settle for anything less than the best’.

Nanise Rainima Miss World Fiji 2017 Finalist Miss World 2017

Nanise Noel Ragarau Rainima representing Fiji in Miss World 2017 is 25 years of age and stands tall at 175 cm. She completed a double major bachelor degree in Biology and Chemistry and is currently a missionary but her dream role is to become a Doctor. She plays the guitar and piano and is a keen volleyball, netball and rugby player. Her most memorable moment was when her nephew was born. Nanise volunteers for an organisation that supports children living with cancer and an NGO that promotes education among the poorer community. She speaks lovely English, Fijian (Itaukei). 'Charm is deceitful and beauty is fleeting but a woman who fears the Lord shall be praised’ is something she believes in.

Destiny Cruz Miss World Guam 2017 Finalist Miss World 2017

Destiny Cruz representing Guam in Miss World 2017 is 19 years old and stands tall at 168 cm. Destiny is currently working as a Sales Associate and a Public Relations officer, she hopes to one day become a Sign Language Interpreter and work with children with special needs. She enjoys playing the recorder, singing and cultural dancing. Destiny's most memorable day is when she saw snow for the first time, her favourite film is 'Interstellar and she has a dog called 'Chopsticks'. Destiny’s life motto is 'Always be kind and always be yourself’.

Annie Evans Miss World New Zealand 2017 Finalist Miss World 2017

Annie Evans representing New Zealand in Miss World 2017 is 20 years old and stands tall at 178 cm. Currently a student of commerce, Annie is an avid debater and became a finalist at the Yale University’s annual debate speech competition. At 14, she started English classes for children of people, who worked at the farmer's market. She is one of the organisers for NZ Youth Summit and her students also started their own charity project. Her hobbies and interests include rowing; touch rugby, cooking, while she has a love for Chinese culture. Annie also plays the piano. Her life’s motto is 'don’t assume anything about anyone - everyone is going through something and often people are the way they are because of what's happened to them’.

Esma Voloder Miss World Australia 2017 Finalist Miss World 2017

Esma Voloder representing Australia in Miss World 2017 is 25 years of age and stands tall at 172 cm. Esma was born in a refugee camp in Austria and grew up in Australia. Having completed a Degree in Social Science and Psychology, Esma is currently working in Criminal Psychology. Her hobbies include art, music, philosophy, literature and writing. She plays classical piano and has a passion for Japanese Animation. One of her favourite books is the Harry Potter series. She is also an ambassador for the Bully Zero Australia Foundation. She can communicate well in English and Bosnian. Her life’s motto is 'Find truth, love and knowledge and then follow it’.
