Miss Earth 2022 Mina Sue Choi Representing South Korea

Miss Earth 2022, the 22nd edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on 29th November 2022 at Okada Manila in the Philippines where Mina Sue Choi of South Korea made history by becoming the first ever South Korean delegate to win the coveted crown. Not only that, but she has also become the first ever South Korean woman to win a Big-4 international beauty pageant. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Earth 2021 Destiny Wagner of Belize. Mina is 23 years of age studying Communication at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. During the competition as well, she wished to challenge the status-quo and inspire others through her work. At the pre-pageant activities as well, Mina won Miss Mexico Pampanga 2022 award from the Air group, bronze medal in the air group at Resort Wear competition, gold medal in the Air group at Long Gown competition, gold medal in the air group at Beach Wear competition, gold medal in the Asia & Oceania group at Swimsuit competition.

Miss International 2022 Jasmin Selberg Representing Germany

Miss International 2022 was held at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan on 13th December 2022 where Jasmin Selberg of Germany was crowned the new queen. Jasmin Selberg bested 65 candidates to win the Miss International crown from her predecessor Miss International 2019 Bint Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand. The stunning beauty fluently speaks English, German, Estonian and Korean. In April 2019, she entered Ruhr University Bochum in Bochum, Germany to pursue a bachelor’s degree in history and philosophy. The 22-year-old stunning beauty focuses on genocide research in historical sciences through her studies. Being a polyglot, she also worked as an interpreter who translated German reality TV shows into different languages. Not new to the pageant world, Jasmin participated in various beauty pageants. In 2021, she represented Germany at the Miss Globe competition where she finished in the Top 15. She then joined three more pageants in 2022 which were Miss Universe Germany, Miss Supranational 2022 (did not place), and then went on to compete at Miss International.

Miss Grand International 2022 Isabella Menin Representing Brazil

Miss Grand International 2022, the 10th-anniversary edition of the Miss Grand International pageant, was held on 25th October 2022 at Sentul International Convention Center in Bogor Regency of West Java province, Indonesia where Isabella Menin of Brazil was crowned the new queen. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thúc Thùy Tiên of Vietnam. Menin is of dual heritage; she is Brazilian and Italian. She holds a BSc in Economics and a MSc in Finance from University College London. Isabella is also the founder of the Beyond Project. Beyond Project supports associations for people with disabilities in Brazil. The project will first begin in Brazil and then aim to spread globally. The main aim is to help improve infrastructure and provide essential equipment for the disabled, in addition to contributing to their basic needs, all for the benefit of the assisted institutions. Isabella entered the beauty pageant world at the age of three with the encouragement and support of her mother. She has won several mini-miss titles including Miss Goiás, Miss Student of Marilia, Miss Teen Marilia, and Miss Teen São Paulo. She also won Miss Teen International in 2013.

Miss Supranational 2022 Lalela Mswane Representing South Africa

Lalela Mswane made history by being crowned as the first black and the first South African Miss Supranational. The finale of Miss Supranational 2022 was held on 15th July 2022 in Nowy Sacz, Malopolska, Poland. Lalela Mswane is 25 years of age who was born in Richards Bay, in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. Lalela Mswane is a is a South African ballet dancer, model, singer and beauty queen. After completing her secondary education at Pro Arte Alphen Park in 2015, Mswane enrolled in the University of Pretoria, graduating with a Bachelor of Laws degree. Mswane worked as a professional model signed to the South African modeling agency Alushi Models. Lalela speaks Zulu, French and English fluently. Mswane began her pageantry career after participating in the Matric Experience 2015 pageant, where she finished as the first runner-up. In 2021, Lalela became a part of the Top 30 competing for Miss South Africa 2022. The finals of Miss South Africa 2021 were held on 16th October 2022 at Grand West Arena in Cape Town where she won the Miss South Africa 2021 crown. As Miss South Africa 2021, Mswane won the opportunity to represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2021 where she placed as second runner-up. In June 2020 she established her nonprofit organization called the Lalela Mswane Foundation, which strives to empower the youth to soar beyond the boundaries that life has placed before them. She also launched a new advocacy campaign titled #BeReady. The program aims at helping budding entrepreneurs learn how to become employers rather than job seekers.

Miss Intercontinental 2022 Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc Representing Vietnam

Lê Nguyen Bao Ngoc of Vietnam was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2022 at the coronation night held on 14th October 2022 at the Meraki Resort in Sharm el-Sheij, Egypt. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Elle Obeñita of the Philippines. Ngoc was born on 18th June 2001. Currently, she is a student of the Faculty of Business Administration at Ho Chi Minh City International University. She has also achieved IELTS 8.0 which shows her English proficiency. Ngoc is also the first ever Vietnamese to win the Miss Intercontinental 2022 crown. Not new to the pageant world, Ngoc competed at Miss Vietnam 2020 and this was the first beauty pageant she attended. At the end of the event finale, she placed in the Top 22. In 2022, she returned to the pageantry by competing at Miss World Vietnam 2022 and placed 1st runner-up.

The Miss Globe 2022 Anabel Payano Representing Dominican Republic

The coronation night of The Miss Globe 2022 was held on Saturday, 15th October 2022 at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Skanderberg Square, Tirana, Albania where Anabel Payano Pichardo of the Dominican Republic was crowned the new queen. Anabel Payano is 19 years of age and a professional model. She beat 49 other contestants to win the coveted crown. Anabel Payano succeeds and was crowned by The Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne of Philippines. This year’s edition was hosted by Albanian TV personality Arjola Shehu and organized by the Deliart Association.

Miss Glamour Look International 2022 Emili Machado Soria Representing Panama

The finale of Miss Glamour look International 2022 was held on 26th November 2022 at the Trade hall in the host city, Philippines, where Emili Machado Soria of Panama was crowned Miss Glamour Look International 2022. The pageant’s advocacy was ‘Women Empowerment for Beauty & Diversity’. Emili Machado Soria succeeds and was crowned by Miss Glamour Look International 2021 Jitlada Noon. On winning the international crown Emili took to her official social media as she wrote, “This triumph is the reflection of my constancy and discipline of a job of many years of experience, last night I was crowned as Miss Glamour Look International. Thanks to the organization for choosing me as its queen, I will always do my best to promote the brand in Latin America, I will work with a lot of love hand in hand with my two organizations to return to the Philippines next year.”

Miss Tourism International 2022 Marima Suphatra Kliangprom Representing Thailand

The 25th edition of Miss Tourism International, was held at RAIA Hotel on 25th November 2022 where Marima Suphatra Kliangprom of Thailand was crowned Miss Tourism International 2022/23. The 25th anniversary edition was themed ‘Promoting Tourism, Culture, and Friendship’. Marima Suphatra Kliangprom gave a stellar performance at the competition. Not new to the pageantry, competed at Miss Grand Thailand 2022 and was adjudged fourth runner-up at the end of the event finale. She also holds the regional titles of Miss Grand Phrae 2021, Miss Grand Krungthepmahanakorn 2020. In addition to the prestigious title, Marima also took home a crown, sash and trophy, as well as a cash prize of RM10,000. The delegates took part in a 16-day promotional tour of various tourist destinations, including Bau and Lundu, before the winners were crowned at the finale.

The 25th edition of Miss Tourism International, was held at RAIA Hotel on 25th November 2022 where Laura Zabaleta of Venezuela was crowned Miss Tourism Queen of The Year International 2022. On winning the crown, Laura took to her official social media as she wrote, “We take home the title and Crown of Miss Tourism Queen of the Year 22/23. The 25th edition of Miss Tourism International, was held at RAIA Hotel on 25th November 2022 where Angelica Pantaliano of Philippines was crowned Miss Tourism Metropolitan International 2022. The 25th edition of Miss Tourism International, was held at RAIA Hotel on 25th November 2022 where Alysa Cook of USA was crowned Miss Tourism Cosmopolitan International 2022. On winning the crown, Alysa took to her official social media as she wrote, “Don’t want to open my eyes because it feels like I’m still dreaming. There are so many people to thank for their time, energy, and support. Too many to tag. I love you all so much and could have never gotten where I am today without you all. Miss Aura International 2022 Riskyana Hidayat Representing Indonesia

The finale of Miss Aura International 2022 was held on Saturday, 24th September 2022 in Antalya, Turkey where Riskyana Hidayat of Indonesia was crowned the new queen. She succeeds and was crowned by her predecessor Alexandra Religion Garcia of Philippines. Riskyana Hidayat bested over 30 contestants to be crowned the new queen. The stunning Indonesian beauty is 25 years of age and a mannequin and an entrepreneur. She is also the first Indonesian contestant to win the international crown. Not new to the pageant world, Riskyana was the winner of Indonesian Prime Mannequin Makassar 2015, Indonesian Stars Search 2021, and Puteri Indonesia Sulawesi Selatan 2022 second runner-up. Riskyana began modeling on the age of 19 and made a name for herself.

Miss Global 2022 Shane Quintana Tormes Representing Philippines

Shane Tormes was crowned Miss Global 2022 at the finale night held on 11th June 2022 held in Bali, Indonesia. Tormes is the first Filipina beauty queen to take home the international crown along with winning best in talent award. She is a Filipino singer, model and beauty queen from Atimonan, Quezon, Philippines. Standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, Shane is not new to the pageantry as she was adjudged Miss Rizal 2016 and Miss Bicolandia 2016 third runner-up. In 2017, Shane competed at Miss Earth Philippines 2017 but remained unplaced. In 2018, Shane competed in Binibining Pilipinas 2018 at the Smart Arena Coliseum in Quezon City where she won Best in Talent and Miss Friendship awards and finished in the Top 25. Next year in 2019, she again tried her luck at Binibining Pilipinas 2019 where she again finished in Top 25. In 2020, Shane represented Atimonan at Miss Philippines Earth 2020 and finished fourth winning the Miss Earth Philippines Fire 2020 crown. In November 2021, Shane was appointed Miss Global Philippines 2021. In December, Shane’s mother passed away due to cancer but the stunning beauty made sure she won the crown for her mother and she did it.

Miss Cosmo World 2022 Meiji Cruz Representing Philippines

The coronation night of Miss CosmoWorld 2022 was held on Wednesday, 30th November 2022 at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia where Meiji Cruz of the Philippines was crowned the new queen. Meiji Cruz bested over 20 other contestants to be crowned the new Miss CosmoWorld 2022. She is 28 years of age and a TV host and brand ambassador. No stranger to the pageantry, she competed at Binibining Pilipinas 2021 where she finished as second runner-up. Meiji is a graduate of three bachelor's degrees and currently pursuing her master's. Meiji Cruz is an advocate for education. “My life has transformed through the power of education. Thus, I want to emphasize the importance of quality and free access to education. As we educate our youth we provide them a tool to be empowered, be independent and be a productive individual of the society”, she quotes.

Miss United Continents 2022 Camelle Mercado Representing Philippines

Miss United Continents 2022 was held on last night, i.e. 6th August 2022 at Parque Las Vegas in the city of Portoviejo, Ecuador where Joanna Camelle Mercado of Philippines was crowned the new queen. She succeeds and was crowned by Anairis Cadavid Miss United Continents 2019 from Colombia. The stunning Filipina beauty brought the second crown home for Philippines. Camelle stands 5 feet and 9 inches tall who is not new to the pageant world as Miss World Philippines 2019 is where she received most appreciation. In fact, she started joining at the age of 16 with school and provincial competitions. She has a degree in Secondary Education and is a teacher by profession. Camelle gave a stellar performance at the international competition.
